What will you be doing this Saturday, March 30th? Other than watching the new Doctor Who, I mean. If you live in the Seattle area, you may want to head over to the Barnes & Noble at the Northgate Mall for some pretty exciting tabletop gaming action. You see, March 30th is International TableTop Day, and the Barnes & Noble in Northgate Mall is embracing the day with their own full-on Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Day.

In the spirit of TableTop Day, the good folks at Barnes & Noble will be showcasing the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with free Pathfinder demos being run by the good folks from the Pathfinder Society. Additionally, Pathfinder designer, Jason Bulmahn, along with author and senior editor, James L. Sutter, will be there signing copies of their books. There will be prizes and giveaways, and some of the creative staff from Paizo Publishing, the creators of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, will be on hand to answer questions, and talk about all things Pathfinder. Participants can even come dressed as their favorite Pathfinder characters.

TableTop Day was established to encourage people to put down the controller, the cell, or tablet, and gather round a table at the local gaming store, the library, a dinner table, the coffee shop, or the park, and play a tabletop game or two. Playing tabletop games builds and strengthens bonds of friendship, and is an incredible way to socialize face-to-face. It doesn’t have to be a war game, or involve lots of tactics. But play something, anything. Me? I’ll be playing some Pathfinder, and collaboratively telling a story with some friends.

So, if you’re in the neighborhood of Seattle, and want to get in on some tabletop action, head over to the Barnes & Noble at Northgate Mall. If you don’t live in the area, get to a table near you, and play something with other actual live people. You won’t regret it.
