So, I decided to join the world that is the Iphone!!
Mine will be delivered on Tuesday (4th Jan) and I am a lot NERVOUS!! Mostly because I repel technology!!

I currently use a Nokia N97 Mini which has an external qwerty which I am going to miss a whole bunch!! :(

Any tips or anything to make my transition an easy one?? ... as you can see I'm deffo not nerdy because of my techyness!! :P

I had a Samsung E730 until 12 hours back when it broke =/ Well deserved lifetime for that type of cellphone, I'm proud of it. Anyway, I need a new one, iPhone 4 is an alternative, but I rarely uses my cellphone...

I hate changing phones ... it's like a death sentence or something!!
When I was younger it was exciting ... now it's vomit inducing :P

I'd back up your contacts on your PC and then when you setup your iPhone you wont have to go through the pain of adding peoples numbers one by one. I've been using iPhones since early 2009, and fell in love instantly. I've spent a bit too much on apps I think maybe over £100... That's mainly down to the TomTom App...

I think you can backup your contacts as a .csv file or backup for Address Book for Windows and then from there itunes should add your contacts no problemo!

'No problemo!' I'm lost already!
I think I have my contacts saved to my little mini sd chip ... can I copy them from there?

Just install the nokia suite software you have, still got a cable or does you laptop/dekstop support bluetooth. Just do a contact backup... Been a while since I've used Windows to do this...Been a while since I've not had an iPhone!

I don't use any of the software ... just drag n drop lol!
I will download something ... :(
I will end up manually entering all of my numbers to which there are many because of uni connections :(

just do it by hand. it doesnt take long :lol:

as for the phone its self after a couple of days it will be easy. you'll wonder how you ever got on without an iphone :D oh and your life will officially end with all the apps on there :lol: twitter on the go ^_^

Love my iPhone! Pretty easy to use, you'll have it down in no time! Apps are the killer though lol they sure can add up!!

I just got one also !!! :D so far its going good!! I always get free apps XD since im on a friend account. Do you HAVE to have a credit card to make ur own apple account?

No I don't think so? My sister doesn't have a credit card and she has an apple account for her phone. She just gets free apps or uses iTunes gift cards

Although not having one right now, you're missing out on the 12 Days of Christmas App... However you can download the free stuff still on iTunes I think...

account is just like signing up to any website like amazon or something lol, you just need that user and pass to download stuff off the stores (free and otherwise). touchscreen keyboard is far better than the proper thing, i can type so fast on my phone :lol:
