I have a few friends with nerdy ringtones, for example: The Doctor Who or Star Trek theme tunes; I also have a friend whose phone screams "Expecto patronum" when he gets a text - very geeky. But cool. My own ringtone is Mozart's Marriage of Figaro.. not sure if it's nerdy but I love it. Anyone else?

My ringtone is the Buffy theme, if I get a text it's the very long and very loud sustained 'Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!' from the end of Everyone's a Hero from Dr Horrible when Captain Hammer has taken the ray gun and is flipping Dr Horible off. My twitter alert is the Mutant Enemy 'Arg Grr'.

Almost all of my ringtones are nerdy in some fashion or another. My txt alert is currently the TARDIS materialization sound. I have the Chuck theme song, the Indiana Jones theme, a LOTR theme, the Imperial March, and a wav of "scruffy looking nerf herder" as ringtones set to various friends and family members. Plus some from Journey, Clapton, Billy Joel and other rock artists. Why yes, my brother does have a program that makes ring tones from mp3s why do you ask? ;-)

My ringtone for my husband is the Doctor Who theme, and all others are the Torchwood theme. My SMS/MMS tone is "Bazinga" as said by Sheldon Cooper on Big Bang Theory. My Google+ notification says "Hello, I'm the Doctor."

I used to have the X-Files ringtone, and later I changed it for the Twilight Zone theme. I changed it again because both creep me out every time my phone rings in the middle of the night (which is quite often), now I have the Addams Family theme song. For MMS I've had the Inspector Gadget theme, Bones theme, House M.D. Theme and Alias Theme, but right now it's the Pink Panther song.
We all have an inner nerd, but once you've let him out, the real trick is to get him back inside, and not because you can't, but because you just won't.

Currently mine's playing the True Blood theme for most people, and the Muppets 'Mana mana' for all my work contacts, but that's mostly because the phone had a freak out when I upgraded the software and changed all my ringtones, lol.
Hubby's plays the Star Trek doorbell for an email, and the communicator sound for texts.

My new phone is lame but my old phone had the dune theme on it, i also had Godzilla's roar and that weird flute noise (to summon the Umpa Lumpa's) from the original Willy Wonka movie. Wish i didn't break it now...

Mine is the opening chant from The Circle of Life from the Lion King, it's the only thing I can hear on a crowded train. I used to have Buzz lightyear for my message tone, and the mysterons from captain scarlet.

I usually don't care for movie soundtracks so my fave soundtrack is Tron: Legacy. This soundtrack has lulled me to sleep or helped me get my geek on many times. My ringtones are from the soundtrack with my faves being: End of Line and Solar Sailer.

Cool! I had Muppets "Manamana" as my ringtone for a long time while using mt Nokia phone.
After getting Iphone I haven´t been able to get any cool ringtones other than the ones that are on the phone itself.
