I just got into BitCoin a little while ago. I made a wallet and put it up on my website to allow my readers to "donate" BitCoins.

My wallet# is : 1DTeC6TaZEQ2mtRw7x2vi4Fu2pRvtsf89D

This all goes to my nerd site as well (as they are both owned by me): http://forceofdork.com

I tried to meet up with a couple BitCoin groups as I've been traveling but haven't had any luck (one I had to cancel, the other no one showed up to; different states).

Is anyone on here experienced with BitCoin? Have you made any purchases with them? Any cool sites you know about?

I just added BitCoin to my Web log, Data Mining in MATLAB, to allow readers to make donations. I'll let you know how it works out.

Cool, I just sent you 0.002 BTC. This was my first send. I got a message that said I was over the size limit, but could still send it by paying a fee of .0005 BTC to the "nodes" that process the transfer. Any rate, I hope this helps get you started!

Cool! Thanks, yours is my first BitCoin payment. I wasn't sure I set this up right, but I just confirmed that I received your transaction. Quite exciting, thanks so much!

No problem! I was actually just in Philly, there is a BitCoin group out there (I didn't end up meeting with them though):

Here is what I ended up doing in Philly:
