What is the Nerd number for, why does it goes up and why do some people not have one? I was just wondering.

Everytime a new member joins, they are assigned a nerd number. It's assigned in numerical order and thus that is the number you will be associated with forever. It's cool to think of how early you joined the community.

Don't worry, everyone has a Nerd number. There is a bug on how that number gets displayed, but it will be fixed soon.

My NERD # is the sequence of the first 4 prime numbers. Who's got a cooler one?
The 1123 might be comparable with mine (lucky nerd or nerdette, where are you?), but the more exotic 129150 or the blatant 314159 which I hope will happen with the NerdMachine alive and counting... should those Nerd#'s be allowed to be auctioned on ebay?
