THANKS so much for streaming the panels online and having them available afterwards too. You all did a fantastic job, thanks again for all the hard work! The conversations were brilliant!

Thank you, guys, for an amazing Nerd HQ. I loved all the panels, all the interviews, everything!!! And for a very good cause, so thank you very very much!!!

I have one question: do you guys have any video from the Riddick panel?

  3. Derrick BrightJuly 23rd, 2013 at 9:19 am

Same question about Riddick. I was there and wanted to show some of my family. Also, were all the panels so strict? I needed to use the restroom well before the panel and I had an escort and was made to feel like I was stealing the Holy Grail from a baby. It was weird.

Thank you SO much for having these online! I’m slowly catching up by watching all of the panels. 😉

Also curious about the Riddick panel video…?

  5. CaptnMalJuly 23rd, 2013 at 3:29 pm

I watched almost every panel live, and while doing it, I was thinking “what if they charged a significant ammount for watching onine?”. I actually think it’s a good idea, and that way, people would get more involved by helping Operation Smile.

Thanks to the Nerd HQ group for putting on a fabulous event. Unfortunately I couldn’t go, but hopefully one day you will make it to NYCC. I thank you all for being wonderful human beings and raising all of that money for Operation Smile. You are awesome human beings!

I watched the Riddick panel on youtube a couple of days ago. It looks like they took it down though. :/

Hey does anybody know how much Nerd HQ 2013 made?

  11. BradJuly 25th, 2013 at 10:26 am

They made about $5k per panel, so for 25 panels, that’s about $125,000. That’s not including the money they raised for the Serenity screening, since more people went to that than an individual panel.

  12. BradJuly 25th, 2013 at 10:27 am

or the merch they sold as well.

A HUGE thank you to Nerd HQ! You guys are beautiful people, I take a deep bow for all of you, doing such a great job for Operation Smile and at the same time for us Nerds/fans!
It was fantastic to watch some of the panels live out here in the Netherlands! It felt a little bit like I was there, you can feel the nerd love right through the screen in all of the videos ;). I hope one day I can visit you guys during Nerd HQ and contribute my share for Operation Smile. Keep on doing this amazing job!
