The Nerd Machine wants to thank all the sponsors and fans that made Nerd HQ 2012 a great success. Located only blocks away from the Convention Center in the heart of the Gaslamp District during SDCC, Nerd HQ attracted a mass of movie buffs, television fans, gamers and comic lovers from all over to experience the unique event. It showcased an exclusive demo of the recently released Tomb Raider game for Xbox 360, new technology from Vizio and Intel, amazing parties, autograph signings, and the charity driven “Conversation for a Cause” panel series that featured over 100 of the nerd world’s favorite celebrities.

During the “Conversations” fans had the intimate opportunity to have their questions answered by their favorite celebrities, including the casts of Doctor Who, Twilight, and CHUCK as well as directors Joss Whedon, Guillermo del Toro, and Marvel Comics icon Stan Lee. The “Conversations for a Cause” panels successfully raised $145,000 dollars for Operation Smile, surpassing 2011′s grand total of $40,000. To date Zac Levi and the Nerd Machine have raised over $300,000 since 2008.
