Nerd Quest

To kick off the first day of SDCC 2011, The Nerd HQ is sponsoring the “Nerd Quest” Scavenger Hunt. Competing teams will rush through the streets, smart phones at the ready, in search of Nerd HQ mTags. These Microsoft Tags will be placed in strategic places around the Gaslamp District highlighting some favorite spots of the Nerd Machine.

The goal of the Nerd Quest is to locate a hidden Tag, scan it with your installed Microsoft Tag Reader (Free App), decipher the clues, and move on to the next objective. Reach all objectives in the shortest time with the most points and win. The Quest will be judged by both elapsed time and total points. Earn points by obtaining “Quextras” aka Quest Extras (see below).Prizes will include Nerd Machine Gear, Xbox merchandise, GUNNAR Optiks, and much more.

Quest Requirements:

• Smart phone with camera and GPS technology

• Microsoft Tag reader downloaded on your phone

• Team of 2 or 3 people

• A Nerd Machine branded Tee Shirt—to easily be identified by the judges and camera crews

• Lots of energy

“Quextras”
During the Quest, obtain bonus points by gathering photos of “Cosplay” (video game, comic book, movie) characters and celebrity guests of San Diego Comic Con.
A list will be posted the day of the Quest, don’t want anyone starting too early.
