Review: The Guild – Dream Questline
by Marcus Luera
The Guild is back and they pick up soon after where they left off. As season five’s cliffhanger led us to believe, Codex got a job working for the creator of her beloved game. Her guildies help get her ready for the job on the way back from the Con, and now she is excited and ready to start her dream job.
Codex’s venture back into employment affects Zaboo the most, because without Riley, his mom, and now less time with the game, he finds he has way too much time on his hands. Vork we find is continuing his relationship with Madeleine Twain, good for him. Bladezz and Tink seem to both be getting a mega dose of reality, both finding that their charms are beginning to wear out on people. Bladezz’s internet fame is dying down and Tink is learning she can only string guys along for so long. Clara is back and as irresponsible as ever. Back to Codex on the job, she finds that her new boss will do anything to make her happy at work. He gave her someone else’s parking space and cubical. Then, under the threat of game character weakening and being fired, told everyone to bend over backwards to accommodate Codex, basically setting her up to be the bane of the office.
Lots of great set-up for the characters and story for what will be a great season. Everyone was spot on in this episode, great performances all the way around.
