The Complete Flash Gordon Library: The Fall of Ming

You might remember me ranting and raving about how awesome Titan was for releasing The Complete Flash Gordon Library: The Tyrant of Mongo…well, they did it again.
Just when you thought your home library of awesome geekdom couldn’t get any better, Titan books is releasing The Complete Flash Gordon Library: The Fall of Ming!
Let me start by saying, if you don’t know who Flash Gordon is you should turn in your nerd badge now. Flash Gordon is an amazing hero, adventurer and dude in general. He has been one of the greatest influences on heroes, comics and the sci-fi genre.
The Fall of Ming continues the comprehensive library of the greatest science fiction hero of all time. In this brand new collection of library editions, it features all new restorations that will preserve these legendary adventures for generations to come. Starting with revered writer-artist Alex Raymond, this volume continues the adventures of pulp hero Flash Gordon on the planet Mongo as he begins his final battle with the merciless villain Ming. The introduction is by Dave Gibbons from Watchmen which is a nice little bonus if you are a fan (you should be).
The Fall of Ming reprints all of Alex Raymond’s Sunday strips from January 19, 1941 to August 13, 1944, and includes an extensive essay on his final years on the series by writer Doug Murray. This beast of a book is a really good value and will look good in any comic collection. Seriously go to amazon or your local bookstore (I think they still exist) and pick one up!
