Have you fallen behind on your nerd news? Don’t worry; we’re here to help! Here are a few stories to bring up at the water cooler this week:

If you’re anticipating the World of Warcraft movie, you’re going to have to wait a little bit longer. It has been announced the movie has been pushed back until March 2016 instead of December 2015 to avoid conflicting with the newest Star Wars movie. Duncan Jones, who also directed Moon and Source Code, will direct Warcraft.

Sherlock’s UK premiere date has been revealed in a morbid but altogether appropriate way. A hearse bearing flowers reading “Sherlock 01-01-14” drove around London last week and it was later revealed episode two will air just four days later on January 5. Episode three will be broadcast on January 12. The first episode back, “The Empty Hearse” picks up two years after the events in “The Reichenbach Fall.”

One of the biggest titles in the Grand Theft Auto series is coming to mobile devices next month. The new GTA: San Andreas will feature remastered graphics, a new checkpoint system, touch controls that will display buttons only when needed, and enhanced character and car models. It will be available on select iOS, Android, Amazon Kindle, and Windows mobile devices.

Problems still plague the Xbox One, but Microsoft is trying to make it better. Some units are having disk drive issues – some eat disks and others reject them – and to make up for it, the company is offering a free game download (Dead Rising 3, Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse: Son of Rome, or Zoo Tycoon) to those affected. They will also be sending them a replacement console. Don’t get any ideas, though; this offer only applies to those with a defective drive.

A teaser poster for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has been released and features three villains in Electro, Rhino, and The Green Goblin. The Rhino costume appears to be the one used in the Ultimate Spider-Man comics, but it’s unclear whether it’s Norman or Harry Osborn in the Green Goblin suit. The movie comes to theatres May 2, 2014.

Fans of Crash Bandicoot, here’s some good news for you. After Activision recently removed mentions of him from their site, a representative has come out and said they still own the rights to the character and are exploring ways to bring the series back to life. I’ll be sure to update you if and when more details emerge!
