Have you fallen behind on your nerd news? Don’t worry; we’re here to help! Here are a few stories to bring up at the water cooler this week:

A new Fable game will be released this holiday season for Xbox 360. Called Fable Anniversary, it will be an HD remake of the first Fable and its Lost Chapters expansions. Many improvements will be made to the game including faster loading times, controls, and save systems.

Who else is super excited for Captain America: The Winter Soldier? New footage and photos have made their way onto the web, showing things like Steve Rogers (and his stunt double) fighting The Winter Soldier (and his stunt double) in the character’s high-tech armor. Check them out here. The film comes out next April.

A new Smash Bros. game is coming! And guess what? The trailer comes out sooner than we could have hoped – in fact, it debuts at E3! Nintendo’s E3 Direct presentation is Tuesday June 11, when we will get our first glimpse at the game.

Did you check out the Call of Duty: Ghosts pre-E3 stream? It included almost thirty minutes of new gameplay, developer interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and more. Watch it here!

JJ Abrams has divulged his plans to start shooting the next Star Wars movie in January. Though he has been mum on many other details, he also revealed it will be shot in London. George Lucas is on board, too, serving as creative consultant on the film. It is set to be released in 2015.

Two cool bits of news on The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug front. First, a new image of Evangeline Lilly’s character has come to light. She plays Tauriel, an elf specifically developed for the new movie. Secondly, a teaser poster has been released. In it, Bilbo waits outside the entrance to Lonely Mountain and for Smaug within. The movie comes out December 13.
